Plumbing and Mechanical Code

An introduction to both the Plumbing and Mechanical Codes and how they affect the construction project. The focus of study will be on updated Code compliance and maintaining the required level of quality control. Topics include: water suppliers, fire protection, drain and vent systems, heating, air conditioning and duct systems.     Reference:      2009 IRC Chapters 13-31/IPC and IMC

Class Description:
The State of Utah has adopted the 2009 International Residential Code which covers one-and two-family dwellings and townhouses. The IRC addresses all codes (structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical etc.) and allows the home builder to carry “one” book. Learn what the significant new changes are, braced wall changes, the state amendments, and the proposed energy requirements.
